There are three membership categories:
Active membership
This type of membership is provided to those who hold a professional qualification in medical education or holding a degree or equivalent in the field of specialization (medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, applied medical sciences, basic medical sciences) and are practicing as educators in their specialty (fees apply and members will have a right to vote).
Affiliate membership
University students who are in the field of specialization of SSME (proof of student status is required, and discounted fees apply).
Honorary membership
This type of membership is awarded as a discretion for individuals who have contributed to the SSME mission, morally or financially.
