SSME primarily invites membership to teachers in the healthcare professions, deans, administrators, educators, researchers and students in Saudi Arabian universities and Healthcare institutions who have an interest in he field of medical education.
SSME Members will become part of a regional and an international network of medical and healthcare professions educators who are committed to excellence in all aspects of medical and healthcare education, with the platform to share ideas, experience and expertise and be updated with the latest developments in the field of medical education. SSME encourages members to become involved in the work of the Association, and gladly receives suggestions for future directions of SSME. The Executive Committee also welcomes members as volunteers to take on specific SSME responsibilities and duties.
There are three membership categories:

Active membership (holding a professional qualification in medical education or holding a degree or equivalent in the field of specialization (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Applied Medical Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences) and practicing as an educator in his or her specialty (fees apply and members will have a right to vote)

Student membership (University students who are in the field of specialization of SSME. (fees apply but discounted) (SSME will need proof of student status)

Honorary membership (at the discretion of SSME for individuals who have contributed to the SSME mission or who have made financial contributions to SSME. (Exempted from fees)
SSME operates on a rolling membership year and you will be invited to renew your membership one year after joining.

SSME is pleased to introduce a low annual membership fee of 100 SAR for professionals and 25SAR for students until 31st May 2019. After that annual membership fees will be 300 SAR for professionals and 100 SAR for students. Active membership is also available for 2 years at 500SR and for 3 years at 700SR.
Rules for refund of membership fees:

Payment cancellation is allowed within 24 hours of payment without penalty.

Payment cancellation is allowed within 3 working days of payment with a 25% penalty.

No cancellation after 3 working days.

Membership will be valid for 1 year from the date of accepted payment.
